A really lovely day..and a lot of wallpaper

I bought a rather large amount of French Wallpaper at the weekend from a lovely lady
who had purchased this wonderful hoard 12 years ago in France and was now clearing her attic out.
Most of  the pattern has been applied using blocks and  has layers of chalky distemper and gold leaf. Some of the papers are joined/ seamed every few foot
along the roll, apparently before 1850 they didn't make continuous lengths of paper. I also have a few flocked panels and borders
pre 1830's.
My very favourite is the grey and white panel I have hanging on the door. I thought I would show you just a few of the ones I bought.
If you know anything about wallpaper please let me know...as I know so little ..except they are heartbreakingly pretty xxxx

They are so incredible and each individual one is a work of art in its own right. I love the floral with roses the best. I am wondering what, if anything, you will create with them. Are ideas already formed in your mind?

They really are so pretty and remind me of the wallpaper I had in my room as a child. No I'm not that ancient ;) mine was no doubt printed in a factory but those patterns are timeless aren't they? The textures must be fabulous in real life. :)
(I have to tell you that I had a play with the computer mouse when I got to your blog. I love the sprinkly glitter!)

Wow, what a fantastic find. The wallpaper is so beautiful looks hand painted. It would be so pretty framed and hung on the wall. I would love to find such a treasure!

How pretty. They are like old table clothes. I especially like the fifth one down from the top.
