Wonderful Lynn! I don't think I could have resisted either, that water is so clean and clear.....this summer on really hot days I have stripped off completely and sat in the middle of a stream in my favourite meadow and watched the dragonflies dance. I hope you felt like a water nymph! x

Way to go Lynn! Oh the times I've stripped and jumped into an alpine lake here in BC. Heaven. I've only been to the lake district once, mostly there is so much to do at home in Oxfordshire that we don't get out much...lol.

Such clear water Lynn! And a little like those pensioners, I stopped for a moment just wondering...
All the best,

This is so lovely, Lynn. I think you must be very glad to have those memories rather than the small regret you might have if you had resisted.

Is the passage from David Whyte new in the sidebar...or did I just notice it today because I needed it?

Hi Lynn,

You are such a brave person to step into that cold water in your underwear! I would have been too scared, both for the cold weather and to be seen in my underwear :-)

Lovely photo's of you and your husband. It looks like a beautiful walk too!

Wishing you another week of fun!

Looks like a fun time for you and hubby. Nice walk and then a swim.
I'll bet it was very refreshing and one of the last warm days before Autumn really sets in.

We are born to be wild and free! So nice to stop by your blog again, this post reminds me of all the photos in my mums Walter Rinder books, he was a poet if you haven't heard of him:) Gorgeous slice of nature and you are brave for hopping in like that!
