If its old its old.....................

I have spent the better part of the week painting our house a job I love..I'm outside.. the swallows are flying high and its warm..
This front door is staying just like this !...its been sanded, wire woolled varnished and protected...it told me it was fed up with pretending to be a new door, that it is over 160 years old and it wanted the same honesty as the rest of the house, so who am I to deny a door its wishes...............

so now she opens up onto a limed vestibule , with an equally old door door that opens into our hallway....

she is a much happier door........

So I hung my new textured linen shopper behind her to keep her company.

It felt really good to change the door, I felt a shift in my perception of life somehow in this most simple of actions. I have a rather strong feeling there is a change coming...Lammas always brings it casualties  as the Goddess becomes single minded.
With love to you all
Lynn xxxx

That old door looks great that way. Do you know you still have double word verification on? Just curious because it really does keep people from leaving comments. Have a great day- xo Diana

Just checking and it looks like your word verification is off now!;>) xo Diana

I so understand that "shift in perception", Lynn...it seems to happen more and more often, the older I get.

And I am intrigued about your Lammas comment...would you care to elaborate (privately or publicly)?

Your door looks beautiful and comfortable now. How good that you could hear its wishes. xo

Your doors look beautiful. You have a good sense of colour and structures. Your doors, the curtains, your new bag...it all blends in perfectly together!

Happy week!

Well Lynn-- your doors are beautiful- they are YOU. I would not want them anyway- they have character- they have history-- they have charm- and I love them. Your home looks so charming even from this little peek through the entryway--
Love the sweet bag- that door needs that little bag- perfectly!
