A rather lovely week

I have been making some new bags with lovely handles, so I have popped one of them in the picture for you to see, the other one is in my etsy shop.
( sorry this one has just  sold) xx
Last year we bought some very very long doors from a visit to France, so this week(I've dragged my feet a bit ha ha ) I have rubbed them both down and re-waxed  them with Annie Sloane waxes (which are fabulous) and put them back up,took me all day ! I have kept the ochre colour as I love it with the other shades of wood in the house.......

I had the most fabulous finds at the car boot, this is a wonderful tambour work curtain covered in bows and flowers in creamy white pristine condition.....

and a beautiful double bedspread in gentle faded colours.

the car boot is never usually quite that exciting!I mainly use it to buy my clothes and books. Also my friends had some lovely buys too, so that was fabulous all around, and I didn't feel like I had got all the goodies ha ha ...
I am off to London next week to a Jessie Chorley workshop so I hope to have some great pictures for you when I come home...

Lots of love and thank you for your most welcome comments,  I have found not being at work and with my old collegues is isolating and I miss my friends so its lovely to hear from you my blog pals and I treasure everyone of those messages thank you xxx

What a beautiful find that tambour lace is Lynn and the quilt, I am always amazed why people part with such treasures. I am sure we shall soon see it hanging in your home. I look forward to seeing your doors. I know how isolating it is at home. I miss the hussle and bussle of student life. My friends and I have 'making days' at each others houses, make soup and cake to share, and lots of cuppas to. Enjoy the workshop that is on my list of things I would love to do. Jayne x oh forgot to say the bag is gorgeous, love your prints.

Such beautiful finds. The patchwork is so soft and timeworn.
I work from home, too, and it can be lonely sometimes. That's why I have my blog :)

Didn't you do well! Both the curtain and the bed throw are gorgeous . I never seem to find beautiful textiles, mostly old 80s duvet covers with cartoon characters, but I will keep looking.( I did find some more of my utility crockery though this week so I was quite happy). Enjoy your trip to London and your course, will look forward to hearing all about it.

Hi Lynn,

Just had a look at your Etsy store. Your pillows look beautiful! What a pretty bag you made. A lucky lady who bought the last one :-)

Those curtains and the plaid look fab. I would not be able to resist them either!

Have fun at the workshop in London next week. Looking forward to see your photo's!
