There are some things that you expect in the post bills etc........and then some others are just totally gorgeous, unexpected, and most welcome.......
Like this beautiful bouquet of Eucalyptus pods from Kay ...................
I have been trying so hard to find some of these Wintery stems full of green and white frosty pods (that last and last forever), and thought I would never ever see any in the north west. But a fabulous thing happened and Kay from 'Is this the Right Path' blog who has a florist called Martin and the Magpie sent me this gorgeous wonderful bunch of powdery pods all wrapped in Darkest rich brown tissue, the box smelling of her flower shop. I had just got in from work to a poorly husband (he has my flu) and was thrilled to see this lovely bunch.... they will look amazing with eucalyptus leaves, and red, berry's, really so festive.
THANK YOU Kay what a lovely treat xxxxx
Now my other parcel... (Adrian said it was like Christmas)now that had in it some Annie Sloane wax clear and dark to antique my paint work.......I am renovating a dolls house, using Annie Sloane Chalk paints
thought it would be nice to keep my bits and pieces in, like a cupboard but smaller of course...
Phew what an evening...best get some tea cooked before poorly husband turns grumpy xxx ha ha .........
Hope you've had a lovely day too....Happy Thanksgiving xxxxxxx

What a wonderful suprise the postman bought for you Lynn. Those pods are going to be perfect for Christmas..........and, your dolls house looks wonderful.
When our daughter was about 8, we bought her a dolls house just like yours. She is now 30 and, although she has her own flat, we have the dolls house here. I did decorate it but never painted the outside. I must now get some Annie Sloane paint !!!! XXXX

Oh what a lovely surprise Lynn, and how kind. I had a lovely parcel today too, a giveaway and it was Jane Packers book 'At Home With Flowers' from 'My Spotty Pony's' blog. Isn't that coincidental! I am about to sit down and enjoy it now. I love your idea of a doll's house cupboard. I never had one as a little girl, perhaps I should get one now? Have fun renovating it. Let's hope you and hubby are feeling better soon. Love Linda x

Brilliant idea. Our daughter's dollhouse has been in the garage for so long. I've never been happy about it but now that she has moved out and I have taken over her room, I am going to bring it back in. She will be so surprised to see what I am gong to do with it.
