Carnival Noel....................

Ilax Berries wearing their best red coats.....

Fly Fly little shiny moth....

All the birds sing for Solstice

Dancers to fly on sparkly feet with the moths.......

Christmas Stockings.......

waiting for presents.....

The whole house is peaceful and quiet, it is misty outside and we have lit the fire and the flames are making shadows on the walls, whilst I have been off work with this virus, I have been happily crafting and sewing , falling asleep sometimes thread in hand.

I am now creating a  paper mache mobile from music sheets to which I will attach my moths and dancers. My inspirations this year have come from old European Travelling Carnival pictures, so my colours are muted and faded like the images I have been looking at.
I rather like the idea of a slightly darker more mysterious solstice for this year, I would love to find some softer lights for the tree, more creamy than white so I could get that dulled sepia look to the tree too.

What a are your favourite Christmas colours?
Lynn xx

I love these decorations, they have such beauty and grace and I love to see the simplicity of muted colours with the twinking silver glitter. When it comes to my own deorations I can't help but have every bright colour you can put a name to! ;o)

How beautiful Lynn.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
I have a passion for white(like the snow we are fortunate to get so much of here) and the palest of Robin's egg blue(for the promise of Spring)

Beautiful! I love the sparkly and the bright. Red and silver are my favorites, but last year, I used lots of sparkly turqouise and silver! Love what you shared :)

I love blue and white together. I especially like stars and doves against a blue night sky.

Your muted colors work with this time of year. With sparkle, Christmas will explode into brilliance.

Beautiful handwork as always. Your talent and taste are inspiring me.

I really like white and silver at Christmas. I also enjoy burgundy colors.

Oooh! I love your ideas!! My favourite Christmas colors are anything and everything - I'm just not too fond of the traditional green and red together. However a dull, washed out sepia look is a brilliant idea - and red berries in a white jug and silvery moths - HALLELUJAH! Hope you feel better soon, I send you sparkly well wishes!

Oh Lynn, your blog never fails to lift up my spirits! I'm in bed with flu too... and it sucks!

Favourite colours for Yule? Mine would have to be white... with sprinklings of silver... some burnt umber and a little bit of duck egg blue.

Hope you get better quickly xxx

Love the dancers and all of the sparkle! I think my favourite Christmas colour is gold, but anything with sparkle really!

My Christmas tree is always a mish mash or ornaments collected throughout the years- no colour scheme!
