what makes me happy?
waking to birdsong..
on a sunny morning..
kitty kisses and purrs..
the aroma of freshly brewed coffee..
and sweet rose filled breeze as the windows are opened..
ahhhh my perfect morning wake up..
out to the patio to survey my domain!
won't you join me as I tour my flower-laden estate?
warmest hugs..

Love the painting of the cups.
Magic days for me - walking around the garden seeing what's come out in flower, what's come up in the potager.
Saying good morning to my man and knowing we're happy together, seeing my lovely cats each day.
Living in this special place, friendship ...........

Love Diane. x

Hi Lynn,

Those meringues look delicious. Wish I could taste them! Beside my family, flowers and our garden make my days better.

Your painting looks really pretty.

Happy new week!

Simplicity makes my days better. We have just come back from a week by the sea and it's been bliss. Walking along the seashore, picking up shells with my children, listening to the ocean, breathtaking views. Simple food.Simple pleasures but just lovely.x

Dearest Lynn -
It really is the little things that make our life such a blessing. I am always so happy when the sun shines on my days off from work - or when it rains and I am so busy that I could not be outside anyway! Really I try to be grateful for every little blessing.

I wish you well with your recent injury - how miserable - no fun to be in pain - I am saying a prayer for your speedy recovery my friend~~

It's all the small pleasures that give me joy:
A hug from someone I love
Music that moves my heart
A cup of freshly-made coffee
Crisp, white bedlinen
Being told "I love you"
French lavender soap in a hot shower.
Rooms filled with the scent of lilac

I could go on and on.......

Oh I love your painting...I didn't know you watercolor paint! Beautiful. How did your sewage plumbing disaster turn out??? Everything back to normal. Spending time in the quiet of my cottage with windows open to the gardens make me happy. Baking from scratch always makes me happy. And of course, watercolor painting in my Seawashed studio makes me happy.

I truly believe that thinking about what one should be thankful for will have a huge impact on once attitude to oneself and to ones surroundings. It's beautiful to read about what makes some one else happy, and the meringues look perfect!
