Tuesday Holiday with friends.....................

Success! well first time lucky I think, French Macaroons and I made them yesterday for today...I'm rather pleased with them especially as I have a rather cranky 2 door Aga with an attitude...so I tried them out on Claire this morning.................
Look gone...............I might try some pretty colours next.........
                                              my rash purchase.............................

                                             such vintage rooms....................

Bought a new house today...car boot of course....but I fell in love
there are lots of plans in the pipe line for this little lovely......

milky sunshine enticing me to relax....................

Now I am going to settle down to do some sewing in my cosy corner ..........
isn't it nice to have a day off work and to share it with friends............thanks Claire xxx

Yummy cakes, I love Battenburg. Your house was a great find at the car booty, I bet it will look spectacular when you are finished with it.

I am so impressed..I have never tried to make macaroons but have always wanted to attempt especially all the lovely colors. I am laughing at your "rash purchase" which is a perfect description because I got carried away at an auction last summer and made a similar purchase (it was such a deal I couldn't stop myself) of a very large dollhouse which still sits in my studio taking up a great deal of space. I do have plans for it but it keeps bumping to the bottom of the list. I will be anxious to see what you do with your treasure.

I can see that dolls house turning into a mini Sea Angels house with ethereal soft furnishings and quirky detail!
Well done with the macarons too...especially with your temperamental AGA...they look perfect.

...oh!
It would be soooo fabulous to spend the day making these with you!!
I always have such a hard time choosing flavors/colours:)

...I think, perhaps, now I shall try some a gorgeous shade of vanilla with a touch of gold leafing on top!

Oooooh ... the macaroons look lovely, but I'm here to warn you about that wonderful old dollshouse. Once you give yourself over to the little world there's no turning back! So addictive, yet so very enchanting to hold a perfect little chair in the palm of your hand ... and sometimes it's a trying dilemma whether to leave great finds like this one old and tatty, or spruce them up. I'm sure whatever you choose to make of yours it will be entirely delightful.

So cute old dollhouse! Welcome to visit my blog; there is photos of my dollhouse which has made by grandfather about 50 years ago. :)

I was so surprised Lynn. If you had not said so, I would have never guessed about the dollhouse. Amazing little decorated room.
