Tendrils of summer.....

Lots of sewing to finish, my felt heart was from Helen my lovely friend...

A linen printed and embroidered banner I am making......

My tablecloth blouse.......no tea stains ha ha

A vintage purse I have upcycled...just needs some buttons....

The smell of salt on a warm breeze, and warm moss in the woods, picnics in the park, and muddy feet in a stream....we all need this, we need the sunshine and the warmth, I like to laze under sleepy sky's sewing, and healing.. feeling the sunshine warm me through.

I have made a blouse from a worn soft creamy white  table cloth, and I am rather pleased with it, though the tiny pleats took ages!, the other bits, my little vintage purse and my wall hanging are just me enjoying my needle and thread making pretty things for who knows what ha ha .......just the pleasure of it..I'm so sorry I am not around much , but I love to hear from you and hope you are all well...
Bright blessings my lovely friends xxxxx

How nice! I happened on just as you were posting. We very much like you posting, even intermittently. When you are here, you have so much to share. The birdie, of course, is my favorite. How could it NOT be. The recycle tablecloth is amazing. Happy creating, Lynn - Annie

Wow! The table cloth blouse is gorgeous, you talented, lucky lady! At least we have been having the sunshine days to wear it...4 weeks ago you'd have froze to death in it!
The bag is very interesting, did you buy the fabric with the postcards on or have you printed it yourself? Either way it is lovely and the little piece of patchwork is lovely too.
I have been doing some sewing but mostly working outside in the garden or inside with the fan on, reading or making jewellry.
Nice to read your blog again.
Take care and bright blessings to you and yours.

What a delicate and pretty tablecloth blouse. You are so talented! Great photos of your other projects as well.

Enjoy the sunshine. It has been warm and very humid here in New England with thunderstorms almost every day.
My kitties do not like it!

Rather pleased....rather pleased....LYNN you should be ecstatic with your blouse....it's so beautiful. It looks like the most beautiful vintage blouse that has been lovingly wrapped in tissue since the day it was made.
Your sewing skills are wonderful. Everything that you have made is stunning. Sorry for being rather gushy, but you are just the most wonderful seamstress.
Hoping that this finds you well, Lynn. XXXX

Hi Lynn, I just read my comment and it struck me that you may not have had with you what has happened the past month. We was suppose to go to Denmark on holiday, but along the way there we got a call that father my husband had been seriously ill. We have to turn around and go home. He took the first flight to the Netherlands and has been there since. His father died unfortunately last week, so it's been a difficult time for both of us. June 21 he comes back home and then we will take us a few days off together. The trip to Denmark we have to spare, for next year, and we have already made plans. I sent you a mail before we went. I wanted to send you an email a little later, in response to yours. But I was too tired. In the meantime, I have not been able to send you some words, I am sincerly sorry for that. I was going to send you a card from Denmark, now you understand why you never got it.

Hope you are doing well, has thought a lot about you. Well, I shall send you a smmer card one day, just to say a little hello :)

Have a lovely weekend my friend,
lots of hugs, with much love,
Aina

I was studying the photo very carefully and wondered what the little figure attached to the case at the bottom was - it looks very typical of a certain Ms Arkell - would I be right?
I have huge envy of your lovely things.
