The days turn towards the light.....

Embroidery on organdie

Felting on chiffon reflections

A Winter Robe for a babys naming...

more reflections

Waxed lace......

There is a pleasure in the pathless wood
There is a rapture in the lonley shore
There is society where none intrudes
By the deep sea, and Music in its roar.
I love not man the less, but nature more.

Lord Byron

I feel the heart of Winter creeping into my work it shows in the tiny babys robe I have nearly finished, made of soft vintage velvet felted and pleated with tiny diamonte and  vintage lace and chiffon I have spent hours embroidering.... a gift for a lovely friend
I see ice crystals and snow falling and want to capture the essence of nature in everything I do.

Have you had a lot of snow ? We have had so much today. I was out driving in it and it wasn't very nice !! I think that I will stay in for a few days....but, I love it !! XXXX

Amazing how the creative side of our brains just naturally do those sorts of things, isn't it? Follow the seasons with such rhythm.

Hi Lynn!

Oh these photos are absolutely beautiful...! The result of your work will be fantastic. You are very talented.

I heard that the weather in the UK is freezing. It must been a very long time since the temperatures dropped this much. We have a freezing winter here in the south of Sweden as well. And lots of snow, whick we usually never have.
It´s beautiful, but so cold...I´m longing for spring now :)

Big warm hug
Mia

I was wondering what waxed lace was. I googled it but didn't come up with anything that seemed to related (outside of hockey laces).
