The beauty of Friday....

Flowers on our table, I love the smell of them

A velvet bag I decorated with vintage stones....

Our beautiful river

I have made Crackers and Angel Boxes for table gifts......

I do not work Fridays, yet I still love to get up at my usual 6am and walk across the river, this is my time, and within the silence I feel lifted and nourished by the sleeping countryside. There is always a stillness before Yule, a quiet time...as I wait for the return of the light, for the birth of the Christ Child, there is a magic in the air, a sparkle of frost on the wooden fences, a robin singing in the bare branches, carols and music in the air, and when the dawn comes up a bright halo of gold guilds everything. This is precious and cannot be bought, each day is original and special, I  hope you are having a lovely time this weekend.
Love and hugs Lynn xxxx

Oh Lynn,
Your photographs are absolutely beautiful. They show a still and serene countryside.
Your hyacinths are coming on a treat and will be flowering in no time and your handywork is wonderful. You have been very, very busy since your last post.
Oh, and I want to thank you for showing me where to get the Jeanne d'Arc magazine. I bought the Christmas one from French Living and it cost me a lot more !!!! Not that I mind. It is so beautiful but hopefully, I will be able to get future editions from England.
Have a happy time preparing for Christmas. XXXX

It is always perfection to pause in the silence of the dawn to begin the day...
Soon those hyacinths shall bloom and fill the house with their heavenly scent reminding us that though Winter has just begun Spring awaits eagerly in the wings.
Love the little clutch so soft to hold.

Are you sure you are not an Angel? x :) x

It's your gorgeous wire crown that I find most intriguing. Did you make it yourself from vintage wire? Enjoy your walks. It snowed here today and I felt the same peace before Christmas...
