Winter cleaning.........

Starting with the hall yesterday..I am clearing and cleaning.....I would much rather be making things but I need to put a new coat of white lye on the wooden floor, so it has to be stripped and cleaned first ....yummy!!!
But then we are going walking with lunch in our tummy's and warm scarves, we are off to pick up pine cones, and fallen branches to make some kindling for the wood burner, there was a bad wind last night so there should be lots of twigs to harvest today.
I have tentatively added music back to my blog....please tell me if it is making it too slow to look at and I will remove it...I would so like to find some Gregorian Chants to play for Yule...........
Sorry if I cannot always reply, I really do treasure each of your comments.
Love and hugs Lynn xxxx

Hi, Your hall is very lovely, and the angel (or buterfly?) is a beautiful thing to look at. Do you paint yourself the floor?? It would be a lot of work for a woman.

Good to read you. Hope you're going to be back more oftener than you have been of late.
I was looking through an old copy of Period Living and am very envious of your lovely home and what you have done there - especially your work-room - ooooh, that's what I want for Christmas I think.
Chant music would be lovely - Howard Goodall has some really nice stuff out at the moment, not quite chant but still listenable to.

I love your hall, so much. I have just bought an urn, a little smaller than yours.
I'm cleaning too and trying to get straight after painting a couple of rooms. Oh. isn't cleaning boring ? I do love it when it's done though.
Have fun collecting pine cones. That wind was awful the other night, wasn't it ?
Have a wonderful Sunday/ XXXX

Hi again Lynn,
Just a thank you for the tip to buy Elle Decore. I will be into the newsagents as soon as I can !! I also want to completely change my home as soon as I see another house that looks beautiful ! Perhaps I shouldn't buy Elle Decore after all !!! Haha.....oh, and thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I know you probably don't have that much time as you work. XXXX

Wonderful pictures! :) Wonderful hall - I´d rather have yours than mine! ;)
I should also start some cleaning and clearing at home, so I won´t end up all stressed out the last few weeks before Christmas... But there´s so much to do all the time that I don´t seem to get started...
Have a nice week! :)

Wouldn´t it be nice with a snow covered landscape, a few minus degrees...and the feeling of Yule spirit in the air?!
There are days when it feels like I´m cleaning, washing up, putting things away all day long..trying to keep it as tidy as possible. It´s a neverending story and can be so boring don´t you agree..There is so much more fun things to do.
I´ve listened to Christmas carrols today :-) I´m trying to keep away from the christmasboxes up in the attic ha ha..
Your home has such an elegant touch, could it be thanks to the Mrs in that home?! :-)

Have a lovely week dear friend!

Your music is both beautiful and doesn't perturb the download! One cannot create until the house is clean! It's unfortunate but true - and it cleanses the soul at the same time! Just ask Séraphine ;-)

Have fun on your walk... I just got back from a run in the forest! Found beautiful musrooms but surprisingly little rosehip this year. I guess I will be making brown wreaths (with a bit of moss from my roof thrown in for greenery ;-). I too am inspired by your 'un clutter!'

Love your post again, Lynn. I am also tidying for the busy December month. The house is getting too messy and there are things everywhere!

Hi there Lynnston! What breathtaking pics and what a breathtaking hall! Loved the mannequin; Stockmann w/ double N's is ther biggest department store in Helsinki ;-)

Cleaning house is never a picnic I suppose. Actually, I always just carry out my normal weekly cleans until the holidays and then in January I'll do a big time thorough one. I find that better as that way I'll be able to get all of the glitter, tinsel and conifer needles out of the house all at once.

Huggets!
