Cosy toes..................

The day is dark, a herald for the quiet sleepy shadows that fill November days
enabling me to sew and make my Christmas presents, while the dust falls hidden and undisturbed.
I am making aprons from vintage and home printed fabrics, and some 'Christmas Fairy' napkins, she just needs a star sewing on where she is reaching up...... and I have bought a lovely white cotton bag, and I have relined it and printed it for a present.
I can't face the shops yet they are too bright and too busy, they intrude on my thoughts, my purse needs to rest!! I love the coming of the winter, the dark soft days, I like to wrap up in soft warm clothes and light a fire, making small nests on the sofa with Adrian, or maybe battle through the woods in the wind and rain looking for beautiful fallen branches to hang my Yule decorations on....I think I like this better than summer............
Sweet Dreams and cosy toes my lovely friends

Thank you very much for wishing my toes cosy!
I adore your creations, Lynn. Did you print the red flower-head fabric yourself? It is gorgeous!
And the aprons - at first I thought it was a photo of an amazing throw you had made for keeping toes cosy, now I know it's an apron it makes my food-stained, tatty commercial aprons which are hanging in the kitchen cupboard, somehow much less desirable.....!
I am most envious of the people on your Christmas list.....!
Happy and Cosy November days to you,
Denise x

We have one last sunny day here before the November rain is said to arrive. The kiwi fruit have been picked from the vines by the river so soon I too will be searching for the beautiful twisted branches to hand my decorations from too... I'm looking forward to my fire since reading your post. Thank you!

I'm sure your presents will be fabulous. You have such talent.

I think Autumn is the best of all the seasons. Hot drinks, warm wooly sweaters, flannel sheets, what could be better?

Oh no! Christmas is coming! I am always one of the last to know and therefore totally disorganised. Why can't it be on the same date every year? It would make it so-o-o much easier for me ....
Thanks for reminding me though.

You amaze me every time...so pretty creations, lovely!
I´m keeping my thumbs up for you, it would be such a pity if you had to sell the house..:-/

I´m not selling anything yet, I should do it...it´s just an issue with my selfconfidence and I think everybody else makes so much prettier things..but the so much thinner wallet would be happier with a little extra money :-)

It is funny though, it´s like I´m having so much more to do at home now and time flies...I just can´t figure out how on earth I managed to potter when working fulltime?! ha ha..I believe I´m doing things in a slower pace?

Anyhow dear friend...I wish you a cozy week!

Hugs Anne

Hi Lynn!!

Finally I have made my way into your lovely "home". So long time since we talked. I have missed you dearly!! I was suppose to answer your mail for ages, but sadly I was disturbed. Sorry my friend!! I will soon send you a few words. I hope you are fine. (and did not catch the bad flu)

Just the thought that November is here is incredible. I felt that I just walked around in the garden collecting apples and swinging the hammock. I hope you embrace this season. It seems like you also are getting more Inspired and busy making wonderful things. I love your Christmas presents!!! Oh, the apron is so gorgeous!! Love faded vintage fabric.

I was thinking about you opening your little shop. Are you? I thought you mentioned something about it earlier on this las year.

Well, I have to go, enjoy your Sunday!! Myself will take a walk, the weather is lovely :))

Take care my friend,

I missed this some how, sorry...how lucky your family is with all these wonderful presents in the making. So beautifully presented as always. The throw's my favourite I think.
November really is a month of change isn't it. I miss Bonfire night, sparklers, toffee and jacket potatoes. My children have never done all that.
