Lost in time.................................

The countryside is like soothing balm on the soul after a weeks work. All the inspiration I should ever need is there. The sun has been shining low and warm and feels so good through my clothes. We went picking sloe's to make sloe gin, ( a lovely liqueur yummy on a cold winters night)..and found this deserted wool mill,....... quiet, mossy, full of shadows and memory's, isn't it beautiful, I wondered about the mill girls working here so many years ago, and the sound of their clogs on the stones as they passed by the window on mornings like this..........
Have a lovely weekend.
Hugs Lynn xxxx

These photos are just so beautiful - perfect I think. I feel as if I'm walking with you. I always feel so inspired when I come over here; I do miss the change of seasons in England, more pronounced than in the south of France. Merci!

Dear Lynn,

Tattered and timeless in their beauty, these fragile souvenirs of other lives touch and haunt me this day of 9/11.

P.S. Several generations back, my french-canadian ancestors were workers in the texile mills of New England.

Hello Lynn
A beautiful post, the photos are so evocative of the season and the place.
Nature is such a balm, as you say, it has the scope to give us whatever we need whether it is calm, beauty, enlightenment, peace, or whatever. It is all we need, I am certain!
I am home from my first teaching session, the weekend is here and the sun still shines - it doesn't get much better does it?

Love your photos! Too bad that in this country (I think the country with the most people per square mile in Europe) everything that isn't used anymore is taken down (immediately). And moss is 'taken care of' everywhere, except in my garden...I once told some internet friends that I have a secret moss nursery in my garden and I still get messages how to cultivate moss, I am googled as being a moss cultivator yeah!
I love the light in autumn and your outfit. Have a great weekend!

I adore your new autumn outfit...and that pic of you is amazing...you know how to see things and how to capture the feelings that I am attracted to...does that make sense...so inspiring. The old mill window and door pure beauty...frameable photos. Most of all I like the quiet and calm that I always feel here at your blog. You live such a life of peace and beauty with a hem of sorrow...such a depth of being.

After 2 months, I am back to blogging. Sometimes we all need some time to get inspiration, to get rest and no computer time. I can imagine the country gives you a lot of energy and peace.

Beautiful countryside to enjoy in your part of the world. And I must say , you blend in well, with your sensitive color choice in clothes. Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year, but I am enjoying the first days of spring here in Australia as I discover in my garden, new flowering buds popping their sunny faces up to greet the sun. Enjoy popping into your blog Lynn, and reading your delightful pages.
