The Edge of Love........

Not only was this film fantastic, sensitive, and beautifully acted, but I am now completely in love with the clothes, she swoons rushing to pick up her new Brora (can't afford anything in it brochure) and lays it gently down on top of her Toast (can't afford any of that either brochure). I have made an effort though.....I'm starting to go to jumble sales , dreaming in the faint hope that there have got to be some of these divine hand knitted jumpers some where!!!! The silly thing is I remember being forced to wear fair isle cardigans and granny knitted cardys about mmmmm'mmmm lot's of years ago,..... come back Nanny Miles all is forgiven... I will wear them now I promise.'Honest'
Have a wonderful week, and if you spot any clothes like the above, you have to let me know where!!
Hugs Lynn xx

I´ll keep my eyes open and tell you right away if I stumble into these lovely clothes :-)
Summer seems to be over and we are stepping into beautiful autumn...I love this time of year with all the fragrances and the memory of warm summerdays still is reachable...

Lots of hugs! Anne

I have so many photographs of me as a child dressed like this. I hated it at the time but absolutely love it now - how strange!

I love these clothes too- i recently found an amazing coat and hat that I loved and was secret delightly when my husband said I looked like Miss Marple! Not sure I could look quite as good in wellies as these girls do, though!

Thanks for your encouragement, Lynn, I am very excited that you are going to be selling your work, I used to search your sidebar for a shop and so I really hope to travel up for the fair you are doing, I am a bit slow with my blogging at the moment because I changing my business and the school hols bring so many children round to visit! I'm sure I'll get back to my blogs soon!

Hi - I'm a blog reader, haven't commented on yours before -- but this thing with the clothes, and Toast, and Anthropologie, and anything else? It really really does work to cut out the picture(s) of what you love in those catalogs and put them somewhere you can see them -- I have found EVERY SINGLE ITEM I've ever done that with in a thrift store or at a yard sale ... so GO FOR IT!!! And yes, these styles (the movie, those catalogs) are so amazing! As is your blog! I love visiting here.

Hallo Lynn,
So nice to read your blog and i pick up on some new things... i had not heard of this movie yet ( is that stupid ? but you see i live in the countryside....:)) But i have heard of Dylon Tomas !! I have even been in Tenby and seen the little house where he was writing ! I agree about the clothes, actually it's nice if you know someone who wants to knit you a cardigan :).

How intriguing. I will definitely be watching out to rent this film. These period clothes are awesome.

I also wanted to let you know that I'm leaving blogging for a short while. I have a lot on my plate and creativity is taking over so nothing bad. I'll still be visiting around and commenting. I expect to be returning from time to time as I complete my writing and art projects. But for now, I need to focus only on this.

Blessings,
Annie

The pics from the film look soooo beautiful, can't wait to see it!! I love Toast - I get the catalogues but like you say can't afford anything :( But the catalogues themselves (texture and all) are such great inspiration...

They won't be at jumble sales, sadly - they tend to be full of Primark and Topshop nowadays...

I've wanted to see this film for ages, was going to go with my daughter but we seem to have missed it. Don't the clothes look delicious Lynn? I can't remember the last time I went to a good jumble sale, things like that are hard to find! Good luck in your search. I have so many bad memories of the itchy hand knitted number I use to have to wear too!

Dear Lynn, finally I can blog a bit again, I have got an insane amount of boxes to unpack, but well, I am quite settled and the most important is done. I can't believe how much work a removal is, never knew that, or tried to forget it somehow.
I am so looking forward to see the edge of love!! will take some time for it soon, and I must see The Duchess, also with keira knightley, just love period movies.

have a good day and take care,

Solange
