Lady of May.....

Can't you tell I have not been to work for four days!!

I have been floating around the house, cooking, baking, and of course watching too many Jane Austin DVDs.... so I decided I wanted my very own 'Jane Austen' friend to chat to, and to sit and watch the movies with....so out came the work bag and here she is... may I introduce my new friend Lady May........ I'm really not too sure which character of Jane's I have taken her from...are you?...let me know if you have any ideas.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs my dear friends xxx

Lady May, is she not the young miss seen dancing about the meadow only a hop, skip and jump from Emma's place? Often wearing a nosegay of delicate flowers like a crown upon her head she has a gentle laugh that echoes over the hillside leaving butterflies to follow...

Oh how wonderful to have your very own Jane Austen friend. My eldest daughter has her very own Jane Austen friend at the end of the road. In the summer they dress up and write letters to each other which they post through the doors and walk along carrying parasols. Methinks they were born in the wrong time!
I think your friend reminds me of Eleanor Dashwood, a loyal and good friend

Oh how pretty! Lady May is delightful! Lots of creative energy spent there, Lynn, but what a darling little lovely you have to show for all of that labor! Your attention to detail (in everything you make) is always so impressive. Really sweet...
Hope you are having a really good week so far! Hugs from across the pond...

She reminds me of charlotte Lucas in the Jennifer Ehle Pride and predudice- but seems more wistful and romantic than prudent and practical perhaps she met her true love just before she met Mr collins?
