A fragile beauty.....

What is this beautiful fragility?
The scent of a Spring flower, who's petals are as soft as a baby's touch. I see them now pushing forwards into the world of ice and snow, under driving rain and relentless wind, yet this fragile beauty, this gift of Spring endures. I try to capture them with my paints, but there is no smell, and the touch of the paper is a poor substitute for a leaf or a petal. The magic of nature maybe taken so much for granted, but it is such a gift for us all!! This small exercise shows me that nothing I do can ever capture such precious beauty.
I hope you all have Spring flowers to surround yourselves with dear friends.
Hugs Lynn xx

The flowers are beautiful Lynn.
Our sense of smell triggers our memory like no other. The heady fragrance of each and every flower that we have encountered in life is right there on the edge of our recollection. We need only to pass by and take it in and a garden of beauty will bloom before us.
Enjoy your weekend.

wow, you are quite an artist! how nice, and it must be so difficult as you say, to capture the flowers, you really have succeeded here in doing so.
I wish you also a very nice weekend and surround yourself with joy :-)

Nature is wonderful isn't it. I often wonder at how delicate a thing as a fragile flower can survive in such adverse weather conditions. Your paintings are a beautiful reflection of their beauty

What delicate flowers! fragile beauty indeed! I so long for spring now .Tomorrow I´m catching up with all household things like cleaning, laundry, ironing....(I just wan´t to sit and create, why can´t some fairy come on over and spread some magic and do it for me ?!)...sigh!

Oh Lynn, these are BEAUTIFUL!!! You're a truly gifted artist, I'm absolutely in awe at your work.

And THANK YOU for your lovely comment, I just thought that the greeting of me hopefully having a clear road to run was BRILLIANT and it WORKED on so many levels! The road is not entirely clear in terms of the snow - which is still there - but on a larger scale the road is definitely way clearer than, say, a couple of months ago. A healthy mind in a healthy body, and so forth :-)

I'm doing good, and I hope that this little message will find you all healthy and happy as well.

Many, many hugs! Have a fab weekened!
